Bamberg 72-Hour VINE Check
SC VINE explicitly covers Bamberg County Detention Center. Search the specific person and confirm that the matching record names the right facility. The sheriff posts $15 per hour for search, retrieval, and redaction, $15 per hour for dispatch or 911 search and retrieval, $5 for a DVD or CD, and $0.25 per paper copy. It says no deposit is required, though full payment is due before records or a no-record notice are released. Payment is by cashier's check or money order payable to the Bamberg County Sheriff's Office.
Under South Carolina FOIA, an availability determination is generally due within ten business days, or twenty business days for records more than twenty-four months old. That determination is not necessarily production. Following a grant and any deposit, production is generally due within thirty calendar days, or thirty-five for older records.
